April 6, 2020 in COVID, MCCSA

It has never been more important to ensure all Australians are getting the information they need to protect themselves, their families and their communities from the coronavirus.

Staying informed and up to date with vital health information when English is not your first language, can be difficult. We understand many people and groups may be reaching out to you for information and support during these uncertain times.

That’s why SBS developed the SBS Multilingual Coronavirus Portal, providing accurate and trusted news and information about COVID-19, in more than 60 languages. It’s a one-stop-shop where communities can come for the latest news and resources, produced by SBS Radio and SBS News, complementing and curating information from SBS’s dedicated services delivered on radio, mobile app and online.

Since launching, it is already being shared widely including by government, health services and many community organisations. It’s also available on Australia.gov.au and the Commonwealth Government’s WhatsApp channel
