Ranielson Santana is a remarkable individual whose journey from Recife, Brazil to Australia epitomizes resilience and dedication. Arriving in 2018 as an international student, Ranielson faced the challenge of adapting to a new country where English was his third language. Despite the hurdles, armed with a background in Economics and Accounting, he navigated various industries, demonstrating versatility and determination.
Transitioning to a new culture, Ranielson discovered a profound sense of purpose in supporting others within CALD communities. Driven by a passion for social justice and community empowerment, he channels his experiences to assist immigrants facing similar challenges. Currently engaged with MCCSA, Ranielson strives to create inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
His commitment extends beyond professional roles. As a former Chairperson of ABRISA (Vic) and current member of BASA (SA), Ranielson actively contributes to Brazilian community organisations in Australia. Additionally, his volunteer work with the Australian Film Festival and Australian Special Olympic Games underscores his commitment to community service.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Ranielson received the prestigious “Treasurer of the Year – Not for Profit Organisation” award from Our Community, in 2022, further highlighting his exemplary service in the community sector.
