Help Us Fundraise for a Multicultural Hub

We have a vision to transform our current building at 113 Gilbert Street, Adelaide, into a purpose-built community hub. We have planning approval, but we need your support to turn this dream into reality.

Our Vision

  • A new, expanded building with additional floors for more office space and community areas
  • Rooftop facilities for programs and community use
  • A central, affordable home for diverse communities in Adelaide’s CBD

What the New Space Could Offer

If we can secure funding, the new building will provide:

  • Multipurpose, flexible areas accommodating twice our current capacity
  • Rooftop garden, BBQ area, and outdoor exercise space
  • Spaces for:
    • Exercise and dance classes (including traditional dance)
    • Art and cooking classes
    • Large forums and information sessions
    • Multicultural meetings and celebrations
    • Active play in multicultural playgroups
    • Volunteer functions
    • Increased storage for community equipment
    • Expanded programs, such as English and other language classes, games and sewing groups

Why We Need Your Help

We can’t make this vision a reality without community support. Your fundraising efforts are crucial to:

  • Secure the necessary funds to start construction
  • Create a space that serves both established and newer ethno-specific communities
  • Provide a hub for groups scattered across the metropolitan area
  • Support small to medium ethno-specific groups and micro-communities
  • Address needs of communities with limited resources due to size, socio-economic factors, or age profiles
  • Recognise and support diverse current migration trends

How You Can Help

  1. Host a fundraiser in your community
    • Multicultural dinner
    • Cultural performance or art exhibition
    • Community sports day
    • Trivia night celebrating cultural diversity
  2. Spread the word about our project
  3. Contribute directly to our building fund

Your support is vital in creating not just a building, but a central hub where diverse communities can gather, learn, and thrive. This new space will make a real difference in people’s lives, from newcomers attending their first English class to long-established groups celebrating their heritage.
